Founded in 1953, The Institution Of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers (IETE) is a leading professional society devoted to focus on advancement of the Science and Technology of Electronics, Telecommunication, Computers, Information Technology and related disciplines. The IETE conducts both the Graduateship (AMIETE) Examination in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering, Computer Science & Engineering and Information Technology streams and Diploma (DIPIETE) Examination in Electronics & Telecommunication and Computer Science & Engineering streams, IETE also conducts postgraduate level course ALCCS (Advanced Level Course in Computer Science).
Motives:
With it's motto "सह वीर्य करवावहै " (ie. Let us do great things together) IETE is helping it's students to learn and grow in the emerging field of Electronics and Telecommunication. One of the missions of IETE is to provide the best mode of studying a Btech degree programme.With the 59 regional centres across India, including one at Kathmandu, Nepal, IETE is helping students to fulfill their dream.
Recognizations:
Govt. Of India, Ministry Of Science and Technology, Department of Scientific And Indistrial Research has recognized IETE as a Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation (SIRO). A pass in AMIETE Examination is recognised by Government of India for the purposes of recruitment to superior posts and services under the Central Government while a pass in Diploma Level (DIPIETE) Examination is recognised by the Ministry of HRD, Govt. of India for the purpose of employment to posts & services under the Central Government in the appropriate field. ALCCS is also recognised by the Ministry of HRD, Government of India, as equivalent to M. Tech in Computer Science for the appointment to superior posts & services under the Central Government.
